| Abstract: The adsorption and desorption rates of Cu (II) by a Nigerian brown coal was investigated under various solution conditions. The adsorption of Cu (II) was found to be chemical in nature and followed first-order kinetics with respect to its concentration in solution. The adsorption isotherm exhibits Langmuir behaviour. Thermodynamic parameters for the adsorption process were determined and discussed. |
