| Abstract: The development of a Knowledge Management System (KMS) for manufacturing is essential for enhancing operational efficiency, promoting innovation, and ensuring continuous improvement in production environments. This paper explores the systematic approach to designing a KMS that captures, stores, and disseminates critical organizational knowledge. By leveraging data from machines, sensors, and human operators, and integrating it with systems like ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), the KMS provides a centralized platform for managing both explicit and tacit knowledge. Key features include real-time data acquisition, automated analysis through AI, structured storage, and collaborative tools for knowledge sharing. The system fosters process optimization, faster problem-solving, and facilitates training and knowledge transfer across the workforce. Challenges such as cultural resistance, data overload, and cybersecurity risks are addressed with practical solutions. Overall, the KMS serves as a foundation for smarter decision-making and long-term operational excellence in manufacturing settings. |
