| Abstract: Object Oriented (OO) Design and Development have become popular in today's software development environment. To produce high quality object oriented applications, a strong emphasis on design aspects, especially during the early phases of software, development is necessary. Design metrics play an vital role in helping developers to appreciate design aspects of software ie improve software quality and developer productivity. Metrics data provides a quick response about the software product quality to software designers and managers. By analyzing the metric data, we can forecast the quality of the OO system. Through this paper, we are trying to edify about the OOD, metrics, quality and the relationship between these. In this paper, we provide empirical evidence underneath the role of OOD Metrics specifically a subset of the CK Metric suite. |
