| Abstract: A generalized non-linear mathematical model for the steady state operation of a gas turbine was developed to study the response modes of pre-specified sensitive parameters of the system. For a realistic understanding of these response modes, an optimization technique known as simulation was adopted in solving the seven non linear modeling equations by using a computer programme which involves the application of the Powell method. The purpose was to obtain the optimal values of the system variables and the objective function by varying the controlling variables. The optimal operating conditions were thus determined. |
