Abstract:
We evaluated effects of some legumes and ProminoI-P fertilization on selected soil properties in southeastern Nigeria. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with two factors and four replications. Routine soil analysis was conducted on some soil physical properties. Soil data were subjected to mean and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Means were separated using least significant difference at 5 % level of probability. Results show significant differences (p< 0.05) on the effects of legumes on soil physical properties while P-fertilization significantly (p< 0.05) influenced bulk density, total porosity, particle size distribution and available posture capacity. Further studies should be conducted on soil chemical properties and in owner-managed farms
