| Abstract: The vertical electrical sounding using Schlumberger configuration with a maximum current electrode spread varying from 400 - 1000m was utilized to provide useful information of the aquifers and subsurface lithology and to determine the area of corrosive groundwater in Agbor and its environs. Ten vertical electrical soundings were carried out and ten boreholes water samples were equally collected from the ten locations and analysed. This paper outlined the importance of the resistivity method in demarcating the zones of corrosive groundwater in Agbor. The areas of high corrosive groundwater were identified and hence help in limiting depth of borehole drilling. The resistivity data was interpreted by curve matching and computer iteration where the geo-electric model parameters and curves were obtained |
