| Abstract: Power generation and its utilization has been a serious problem in Nigeria. The problems which are attributed to factors such as natural, human and equipment has been of serious concern to the Government and her only power operating body, the now Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). This paper seeks to make contributions on the variation in total power generation, utilization and supply. The aim is to guide Nigerian energy provider on the exact energy to be made available in other to avoid wastage with a significant value of realizing absolute un-interrupting power supply in the country. With this projection, energy generation and utilization could match population growth. Using available data, projections for growth for the possible realization of the 21st century vision in the power sector were made as well as recommendations for their actualizations. |
