Article Title: Higher order Sectorisation for Antenna Gain, Signal Quality and ErlangCapacity Maximization
by Isabona Joseph, Odesanya Ituabhor, Janfa Timothy Zhimwann and Risi Ikechi,

Abstract:
The regular introduction of diverse smartphones and mobile internet is also triggering a strong daily traffic growth in telecom system networks. Due to this, the network service providers are in service of cost effective means manage the rising traffic capacity. Cell sectorisation, which is a distinctive technique that explores directional antennas to splits large macrocells to a smaller cells (sectors), is receiving a significant attention as a cost-resourceful means of boosting up cellular network quality and capacity. In this work, we employ analytical models in the frameworkof orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) to computationally evaluate andquantity the performance of higher order sectorisation (HOS) with 6-sectors and 12-sectors over the standard 3-sectored cellular network deployment pattern. The approach provides an effective meansto study OFDM systems in terms of signal quality, antenna gain and user Erlangcapacity. The obtained resultsindicate higher signal quality, antenna gain and user Erlang capacity performances. The employed approach can serve as a fast and effective method to conduct cellular network performance analysisduring radio network design and management.
