| Abstract: This study examined tourist attraction development and revisit intention: a study of Ibom Tropicana Centre Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Four (4) research questions and four (4) hypotheses were answered and tested in the study which adopted the descriptive survey as the working design. The population of this study consists of 20,000touristswhile sample size of 392was used in carrying out the research.Mean and standard deviation were used in answering the research questions, while Spearman Rank Order Correlation was used in testing the hypotheses at a significance level of 0.05. Findings from the study showed that there is a positive relationship between affordability of goods and services in tourist centres and revisit intention. This result which is also statistically significant indicates that low cost yet satisfying tourist centres will attract high patronage and revisit intention among customers. The findings also revealed that the major factors that influence customer patronage of tourist destinations and revisit intentions include activities, tourism amenities, affordability of goods and services within the tourists? centres and accessibility to centres for tourism. The need for these factors to be adequately and effectively managed a way of promoting revisit intention among customers was suggested. |
