| Abstract: The increasing concern for course project evaluation has been a realistic challenge. A recent study suggests the need for new evaluation form or rubric in the American educational system for various course projects. The Emirates is being considered as a regional centre for education to introduce Emirates Qualification Framework (Emirates-QF) (Commission for Academic Accreditation, 2011). All accredited academic programs in the Emirates should follow Emirates-QF specifications, especially program learning outcomes (PLOs). This paper proposes a rubric to be utilized by tutors and faculty members to support their own academic supervision and evaluation of students’ performance and project. The purpose of the present study is to design a new form for evaluating students’ project works. The study focuses on the strands of learning outcomes defined by Emirates-QF.These strands have been discussed and formed through a qualification framework template. With central focus on undergraduate programs, the suggested evaluation form intends to adapt the PLOs strands specified in Emirates-QF as the main criteria for evaluation. The new form is branded significantly as Emirates-QFstrands and serves as basis for the performance criteria for evaluation within the form. |
