| Abstract: The study investigated the counselling needs of Nigerian youths in the current political dispensation. The population for the study was made up of all youths in Nigeria between 18-35 years old. A descriptive survey was adopted for the study. The sample for the study comprised 500 (five hundred) youths who were randomly selected from three senatorial districts of Lagos State . A research question and two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A self- designed questionnaire Counselling Needs of Nigerian Youths Questionnaire (CNNYQ) was used to obtain data from the participants. The t-test was used to analyze the two hypotheses tested at 0.05 level of significance. The two hypotheses were accepted. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that government at all levels in Nigeria should employ the services of counsellors in formulating policies for her youths. |
