| Abstract: The present study aims at investigating the features (continuity, integration, scope and sequence) of Bruner's (1977) spiral curriculum model with reference to teaching the skill of writing for college students. This study is done through analyzing the first and the second part of the book Writing Academic English which is taught at the university levels. The study reveals that the spiral curriculum model is very helpful in that it allows student learn and acquire the skill of writing in a gradual and systematic way to move from the previous knowledge and build on it to acquire the next knowledge. Thus, the study recommends implementing Bruner's views in designing the courses of writing |
