| Abstract: This study mainly focuses on measuring equity in the distribution of educational opportunity in Uganda considering the achievements of the implementation of Universal Primary Education. The study used the Gini coefficient to measure equity in the distribution of educational opportunity in Uganda according to age group, gender, and location. The presentation used data on educational enrolment and attainment in Uganda in 2016 collected by the World Bank. In the article, the concepts of equity and equality are defined, various measures of equity are identified and the Gini coefficient is applied to measure the magnitude of inequality for the selected dataset.
