| Abstract: This study was conducted as a descriptive survey to explore the causes, incidents, and potential solutions to the increasing cases of indiscipline among secondary school students in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The research sample consisted of 150 secondary school students selected from schools in the area. A questionnaire, titled "Tackling Incidents, Causes, and Control of Indiscipline among Students Questionnaire" (TICCISQ), was designed to gather relevant data. The findings revealed that common incidents of indiscipline included the use of foul language in class, disrespect towards teachers and school authorities, physical aggression towards peers and teachers, involvement in cultism, fighting, smoking, and drinking. The study identified the causes of these behaviors as poor home upbringing, lack of realistic rules and effective leadership in schools, and student idleness or misguided ideals. Based on these findings, the study recommends that teachers, school administrators, parents, and students themselves cultivate a culture of self-respect and use appropriate language both in school and at home to reduce instances of indiscipline. The significance of this work lies in its potential to inform educational policies and strategies aimed at addressing indiscipline in schools, particularly in Kolokuma/Opokuma. While the study provides valuable insights into the causes and nature of student indiscipline, it also offers practical recommendations for intervention. The novelty of the study lies in its focus on a specific geographic location, offering a deeper understanding of local factors contributing to indiscipline in secondary schools. This research bridges the gap in knowledge regarding the root causes and potential solutions for indiscipline in Bayelsa State's secondary education system, contributing to the broader discourse on improving student behavior in Nigerian schools. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Keywords: Addressing The Growing Challenge Of Indiscipline Among Secondary School Students In Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area Of Bayelsa State Dr. Felix Omemu Department of Educational Management Faculty of Education, Niger Delta University Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria ___________________________________________________________________________ Abstract This study was conducted as a descriptive survey to explore the causes, incidents, and potential solutions to the increasing cases of indiscipline among secondary school students in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
