Article Title: Social Justice Advocacy and Inclusive Education: Capacity Building Tools
by Dr Geoffrey Chiweyite Onyebuchi

Abstract:
Education is a process of nurturing in all areas of knowledge that are relevant to the individual’s intellectual maturity. This article reflects the growing need of the right of children with disabilities to inclusive education. “Education for all” is a right which government and individuals have a commitment to promote at all levels. Despite the advocacy for inclusive education, some portions of humanity still suffer marginalization and neglect to some degree. This study investigates the issue of social justice and advocacy in inclusive education and reveals that, advocating for social justice involves a deep sensitivity to the needs of all people but most especially to the needs of the poor, oppressed and disenfranchised. The work also captures the legal framework for inclusive education and the method adopted is the descriptive survey. The result of the study revealed that many schools in Nigeria and the world over are yet to embrace the inclusive education programme as recommended by UNESCO. The study recommended that teachers, the community at large be sensitized on the importance of inclusive education, while the government should train and employ enough personnel on special needs education and restructure the curriculum to suit every child.
